Following on from the Taste The Difference series of events, the 14-18s group at Christ Church will be hosting CY. CY is a seven week version of Christianity Explored which is specifically tailored for 14-18 year olds. Each meeting will be helping the young people to see why Jesus is so important (hence the name, CY). Please do pray for CY. Here are two simple things to pray for. - That the members of the 14-18 group will have confidence and boldness to invite their friends to CY.
- That their friends would respond, come along and discover for themselves the truth about Jesus.
If you or someone you know is aged between 14-18 and might be interested in CY, then drop me an email or give me a call.

Our first men's bible study of the summer season was on Saturday, 26th April, when we studied the parable of the dishonest steward in Luke 16. We saw how this man, driven by unrighteous worldly ways, did win for himself worldly friends, but that this is definitely not a wise policy for living as it does not win a place in eternity where true riches are to be found. We had to grapple with the eminently misunderstandable v.9, but having done so the lesson became crystal clear - the one who loves God is truly rich, but you can't love God and be worldly at the same time.
These men's bible studies have become much loved and hugely appreciated by a good core of faithful men, but they would love to be joined by others! We start at 8.00am with a simple breakfast of toast and freshly brewed real coffee or tea, and then study the bible together until 9.15am.
We value the opportunity to see how the bible addresses us as men in our desire to live for Christ in our marriages, homes, work and leisure time, and not least in our church. We believe that the bible is crystal clear on what God expects of us men in our discipleship of Christ - but we know it's very challenging, and this is a great opportunity for us to encourage one another to be bold servants of Christ, and to build one another up in Him.
This term we are digging deeper into the middle chapters of Luke's gospel. The complete set of dates for the season, all at 8.00am in the Church Centre, are:
- Saturday 26th April
- Saturday 17th May
- Saturday 14th June
- Saturday 5th July

As you browse around the web site, you may notice that there are no sermons on the new site yet. Well, within the next few weeks we will be moving the facility that manages our sermon recordings from the old site to this new site.
So, until then, you can access sermon recordings at the old Christ Church web site.

We've started a period of 'renewing our vision' as a church in the early weeks of 2008.
“the word of the Lord continued to increase and prevail mightily” Acts 19:20
We believe that gospel mission through church planting and training for Bible ministry needs to be the driver as we plan prayerfully the future strategy of Christ Church Bromley. I am sure that the church family wants to see the gospel of Jesus Christ increase and make real inroads in the lives of many in our local area and beyond.
