Christ Church Bromley
Highland Road, Bromley, Kent BR1 4AA

By road

From the M25:  Leave at Junction 4 and follow the A21 through Farnborough into Bromley.   Entering Bromley, pass Bristol Street Motors  on the right.  At the traffic lights immediately afterwards, keep to main road (A21), which becomes dual carriageway (Kentish Way, passing town centre).  Continue  through several sets of traffic lights. Finally you will reach a T junction at traffic lights and large offices called Wren Court ahead.  Turn right at these lights.  At Kwik Fit (on left), turn left into Park End and Christ Church is at the end of this road on the left hand side.

From Central London:  Take the A21 through Lewisham, Catford and Downham. Approaching  Bromley, watch out for Kwik Fit on the right.  Immediately before Kwik Fit, turn right into Park End.  Christ Church is at the end of Park End on the left. This last part is shown on the map above.

From the West:  Approach on the A222 through Beckenham. Pass under the railway bridge at Shortlands and continue through Shortlands village (shops).  When the shops end, the road bends right and uphill (Beckenham Lane, known locally as Swan Hill).  Take the second turning on the left, Highland Road, the turning is just after Valley Primary School on the right. Christ Church is a few hundred yards up the hill on the right hand side.

Parking

There are plenty of parking spaces on Highland Road, Madeira Avenue and Grasmere Road (all in marked bays). The church halls has a handful of spaces but these fill up very quickly.  Accessibiliy: There is good access to the church buildings, with designated disabled parking bays and level access from the road and car parks. 

As a church, we value the relationship we have with our neighbours residing in close proximity. Therefore, when  visiting, we ask that you please do not park in the following areas:

• on the steep slope at the junction of Park End with Highland Road

• in any part of Bracken Hill close

By rail

Shortlands or Bromley North are the closest railway stations.

Bromley North is on a shuttle line from Grove Park which is on the Charing Cross Line.

Shortlands is on the Victoria line and only just over a 5 minute walk up the hill toward Bromley, turning left into Highland Road.

Bromley South is the fastest from London Victoria with a number of trains each hour. Christ Church is a good 15 minutes walk from the station,  you can take a taxi from the rank just outside the station or take the 208 or 320 bus (stop opposite station).

To walk, turn right as you come out of the station and go straight up Bromley High Street, into and through the pedestrianised section, on past Primark (on left), past the cinema (on left) and  past the large new Magistrates Court, where the road becomes London Road. Just after Kwik Fit (on left), turn left into Park End. Christ Church is at the end of Park End on the left.

By bus

Buses 208 or 320 run on the main A21 - alight at Farwig Lane (by Kwik-Fit) and walk down Park End.

Through Shortlands the 227 and 358 run from Beckenham to Bromley.  Alight at Valley Primary School and turn into Highland Road, Christ Church is a few minutes walk up the hill.
