ReallifejesusSome books written for those enquiring about Christianity are very good at explaining the gospel clearly. Others are good at addressing the concerns and issues people raise today but less good at giving Biblical answers that point to Jesus. Real Life Jesus by Mike Cain (IVP £7.99) does both. It's brilliant!

Real Life Jesus is Biblical, it's readable, it's relevant, it's personal, it's warm and engaging, yet challenges the reader to think some more. It opens up John's gospel superbly and shows how the Jesus who walks off its pages addresses the questions on our minds and the longings in our hearts.

It will help a committed Christian to love and trust jesus more, and be equipped to answer people's objections and questions graciously without compromising on Jesus.

It will help someone who wants to know why they should investigate Christianity at all to see that there's something worth looking into.

It will help someone who is investigating it to see the personal relevance of Jesus to them, and answer many of the objections they hear expressed today, and share perhaps.

If you buy one copy I think you may soon wish you bought a second so you can lend it to someone you know.

Along with the sun cream and beach towel (or wellies and fleeces) why not pack a copy of Real Life Jesus in your suitcase this summer. It might make your holiday really memorable, and help you return to normality refreshed not only in body and mind, but in spirit too.
