The Search for Happiness
An evening of insight with an interview and video.
Wednesday 22nd May 2019
7.30 - 9.30pm
Cheese and Biscuits served
Our world is searching for happiness: politicians promise it; counsellors help with it; we all long for it. We search for it in our careers, family, medication, mindfulness and a host of other places. In recent years, there's been a growing interest in the science and search for happiness in our lives and society.
Join us for an engaging evening as we explore some of the ideas and questions related to our hunger for happiness, and how we can find it for ourselves.
We'll start with some sharing platters and drinks from 7.30pm.
We’ll watch some videos and hear some thoughts on our culture and happiness.
There'll then be an interview with a psychiatrist as we hear his professional experience in this area.
There’ll be a chance for discussion and to ask questions if you’d like to, as we explore what the Bible has to say on the subject.
Our time together will end promptly at 9.30pm.
If you'd like to come it would be helpful for catering if you could let us know. You can do this by contacting the the Church Office on 020 8464 1898 or by email, or you can sign up on the clipboard at church. Otherwise just turn up from 7.30pm on the evening.
