There are several key midweek events at Christ Church which help us to deepen our love and knowledge of Jesus and develop a deeper fellowship with one another through reading the Bible and praying together.
Christ Church Midweek Prayer (CCMP)
CCMP meets roughly every second Tuesday of the month; an informal central gathering of the whole Church for fellowshp, prayer and to focus on praying for the mission of Christ Church and the mission partners we support. We strongly encourage all church members and especially those in CCM/small groups to attend.
Christ Church Midweek (CCM)
Christ Church Midweek meets centrally on Tuesday Evenings in term time for Bible Study in small groups - there are also a handful of Satellite Groups which meet in homes on Wednesday evenings.
Those who are either new to the Church or new to the Christian faith (or both) would usually join one of our introductory groups such as Christianity and/or Discipleship Explored, prior to attending CCM.
Additionally there are also Youth Groups, some daytime Women's groups that meet to study the Bible together and monthly Men's bible studies.
Women's Bible Study Group
Meets every Tuesday morning in term-time from 10 - 11.30am. There is a children's creche, coffee, homemade cakes and the opportunity to study God's word together and to pray for each other.
Men's Bible Study Group
Meets on Saturday mornings every other week from 8am - 9am.
Lunch on Wednesday
Retired people, particularly those on their own, meet weekly in the Church Halls for a home-cooked lunch & to enjoy friendship and fellowship.
Coffee is served at 10.30am followed by optional keep fit or Seekers (Bible based discussion group) at 11.30am and lunch served at 12.30pm. The cost is currently £4 per person. Transport can be arranged but many people use Dial-a-Ride.
There are special events during the year including 'Holiday at Home' in August, outings & guest speakers. In addition, a Hearing Aid Clinic is held once a month.
